Start Your Engines At The Mario Kart Launch!
Nintendo went all out to promote the launch of Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS, and then the following week, went slightly less out for the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Now, they're launching Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS at the Nintendo World Store in New York City with somehow even less fanfare.
The other two went on sale early, but the Mario Kart 7 launch event is actually being held on the launch date of Sunday, December 4. And from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, you can play with other Mario Kart fans, do some StreetPassing and get your picture taken with Mario.
I'll still swing by and see what's up, so look for coverage in my next video podcast. And as much as I enjoyed the demos of Mario Kart 7 I've played, I'm going to try to resist the temptation to buy it. Because as much as I love the idea of racing my friends online, I'm pretty sure I'm going to start hating it when I keep losing time and time again! (Never been as good as my friends at racing games!)
