Upgrade Your Fighters!

If you're a fighting game fan, I've got a couple of DLC announcements for you. First up, the free Heroes & Heralds DLC for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 starting today. You'll choose between two factions (the Heroes and the Heralds, duh!) to battle the opposing side to either save or conquer the world. Gameplay will be affected by acquiring Ability cards that can boost your powers or enhance combos. The mode is playable both online and off, and will actually be included with the upcoming PlayStation Vita port of the game.

Also, Atlus has announced that they are working on a patch for The King Of Fighters XIII that will tweak some of the online issues. Mostly making sure that the connections are accurately evaluated for optimal play, and introducing host-side filtering to alleviate the frustration of hosts being unable to avoid matches with players with bad connections. The patch will also address some glitches that have been reported since the game's release. There is currently no release date for the patch, but Atlus assures us that they're making every effort to get it ready as soon as possible.

Also delayed is NESTS Kyo, the next DLC character set to be released for KOFXIII. Well, at least on the PS3, it is. The Xbox LIVE Marketplace will have the character on December 20 as planned, but the PlayStation Store will have a slight delay.

"We apologize to our PlayStation 3 system KOF XIII fans for the slight delay of the next downloadable character," stated Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at ATLUS. "In gratitude to our fans for their patience, we will be discounting the NESTS Kyo character to $2.99 for a limited time when it is finally released in the North American PlayStation®Store on 1/10."

Leave it to Atlus to try to make things right!

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
