A Heartwarming Tale On A Chilly Day

This story has been making the rounds on the various social networks the last couple days, but just in case you missed it, I wanted to post a link here because it really is quite the heartwarming tale. (Assuming it's true, of course with the interwebs, you never really can tell. But I like this one, so I choose to believe it really happened.)
The gist of it is that two brothers are in a game store, and the older one wants to buy the younger one a game. The younger boy wants a game with a female character, and a purple controller to play it on (because purple is his favorite). The father enters and takes umbrage with his younger son's selections, but that's when things take a nice little turn.
You can read the entire blog post here, and be prepared to have your heart warmed. It's just a shame that this sort of thing stands out. It'll be nice when one day this sort of thing is the norm!

It'll be nice when one day folks like the father in the story don't behave like that. Though to be honest, there are already a lot of people in the world enlightened enough to realize that his behavior was completely inappropriate and that the bigotry behind it is wrong.
It be nice if you could be certain it's not just a made up story.
Wonderful story.
