EA Offers Mass Effect 3 Valentine

That's right! On February 14, you can finally get a taste of the ridiculously hotly-anticipated (at least by me!) Mass Effect 3, as a demo is released as BioWare's Valentine's Day present to us all!
The demo will include the opening attack on Earth that kicks off the single-player campaign, and also include a taste of the new co-op multiplayer mode. The Xbox 360 version of the demo will also support full voice recognition functionality for the Kinect, if you've got one!
Now, the only question is, do I download and play it or not? Part of me can't wait until March 6 to start playing the whole game, but I kind of don't want to ruin the experience by playing the beginning of the game on the 14th and then having to play it all over again almost a month later. I feel like it'll rob it of some of its power. Decisions, decisions...!

Well! I'd say, don't download it. For me demos tend to hype a game for me to levels where I really, want, it, now! Its usually a game I have been waiting on for a long time and that sounds so awesome to me that I know I will play it before I read the first (p)review.
For a few weeks I get this hyped, and then I loose it. Usually this means by the time the game comes out I lost my momentum and the game experience becomes a totally different one then if I would not have played the demo. I experienced this with Dragon Age II where the time between the demo and the release was too long and I actually waited with getting the game because I was not that bothered. Even though the demo got me all hyped up.
Now with Mass Effect 2, I never played a demo (if there ever was one) and the whole game felt like an adrenaline rush.
Now I finished ME2 at least once with every different class, and twice for the Adept, while DA2 only once, with a long break in between.
Now you can say those are different games but its something that always happens for me if I play demos.
So there you have it, I hope it helps you making the decision ^^
Wish I had Kinect for just this game. The whole idea sounds so great! (Since it seems you can still use the normal controls so if you dont want to shout at yourself like loony, you dont have to!)
I think I'll pass on the demo. I, like you, don't want to spoil the beginning of the game. And although trying the co-op multiplayer does interest me, I think I can wait.
I'm on Mass Effect blackout. No previews, demos, screenshots, NO NOTHING. I can wait.
I'm on the same boat as Admiral. I can wait. I've just been itching to get the Kaidan loving I deserve. Replayed the ME1 and 2 so that I have a good save to import. Fucking set.
I'll pass. I don't want to spoil the game with a demo, and besides, I have more games than I can possibly play and beat between now and March 6 anyway thanks to Steam's annual "Holy shit that price is too good to pass up" sale...
