Resident Evil 6: These Are The Facts

Today, Capcom released a fact sheet with some more details about the upcoming Resident Evil 6. They also released a handful of screenshots, but they're not actually screenshots, just screen captures from the trailer, so I'm not going to waste my time posting them.
First up, while we knew that the game would send Chris Redfield to China, it has now been revealed that the main location there will be the fictitious coastal town of Lanshiang. Also, RE 6 is set in the year 2013.
In addition to the zombies, RE 6 will feature an enemy called the J'avo. That's the Serbian word for "demon," in case you were wondering. These creatures still retain some human traits, like the ability to understand speech, work together and use weapons, even as their personalities remain aggressive and they run on pure animal instinct. The most interesting aspect of this new enemy, though, is the J'avo's ability to regenerate itself. Meaning that after taking major damage, it will mutate the affected body part into something new and horrifying, so you'll have to adapt your combat strategy appropriately.
It seems that each successive RE game makes the controls just a little bit better (God, remember playing RE 1 like it was a tank simulator?), and this installment will be no different. Capcom is promising the ability to shoot while moving, slide, roll in any direction and take cover as well as the addition of an enhanced melee attack.
I'm sure more details will surface alongside actual screenshots of the game many times between now and the November 20 release date, so rest assured that I will share them as I get them!

the question is, are they going to make it fun like 4 again, or tedium like 5?
I seem to remember reading that Leon was going to be in it as well. I wonder if that has changed.
I must be the only person in the world that never had a problem with RE 1-3's controls. Hell, I set RE5 to have RE4's control setup since that was essentially the same thing only without the prerendered camera angles.
I used to be able to clear Jill's game in just under an hour on the original Playstation version. After RE5, I remain cautious, but optimistic about 6. We'll see...
Bill, yes, Leon is in it! I mentioned him in the first article when RE6 was announced. He and Chris seem to be the leads.
Actually, the Serbian word for devil/demon would be written 'đavo', which can also be spelled 'djavo', and the dj in it is read as the j in 'jinn'. Anyhow, that's how its pronounced in most of the Slavic countries. I guess they played with the apostrophe in their word for easier reading and pronunciation, as well as making it look more otherworldly. Really curious to hear how they actually say his name in game now :P
IMO it will be like Shadows of the Damned. You can roll in almost every direction, walk while shooting, etc.
