The Wii Gets Some RPG Lovin'

Today, Nintendo announced that the previously-announced Xenoblade Chronicles will be landing on Wii consoles on April 6. And at the same time, they also revealed that XSEED will be publishing the acclaimed RPG The Last Story in North America in 2012. (Sorry, no more specific date on that one, yet!)
"Together, these two games level up the excitement for RPG fans in America," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "Whether roaming the vast landscape of Xenoblade Chronicles or choosing crossbows to battle with or against companions in The Last Story, gamers will recognize these titles as benchmarks for the genre."
I know the Wii is kind of on its last legs here, but it's really nice to see it still getting a little love. Especially on the RPG side. Thinking about it, I don't think I have a single RPG in my Wii library. Well, unless you count Zelda games, which I'm not sure I do. But from everything I've heard, Xenoblade Chronicles is an awesome open-world RPG, and coming from Hironobu Sakaguchi of Final Fantasy fame, The Last Story is an equally critically acclaimed action RPG. Now, to find the time to play them... that's the trick!

is it possible that nintendo has finally come to its senses? its sad that its taken this long for it to get something for more hardcore gamers, but better late than never.
About time. I was gonna murder then for not brining the last story here. Gonna be a good year for my wii use then. Ni no kuni also coming.
Being European I've played Xenoblade Chronicles for about a month already, and I have to say that although the open-endedness is very appealing and the whole game combines Japanese and Western RPG philosophies in a fantastic way, there is really A LOT to take in.
It is not a game for casual gamers, you will have to find time to play it or you'll most likely get overwhelmed and quit.
I'll probably buy Last Story as well, although I still have to finish both Xenoblade and FF XIII-2.
