Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary
Dear Diary,
Well, we didn't get any snow at all this week in Narnia, which was kind of annoying, because it meant that I had to go around and water my flowers every day to keep the place looking lovely. Boo.
Not that we've had any actual snow in my other home, either. It's been a pretty lame winter if you ask me. Anyway, the usual nonsense awaits after the jump!
So Ruby's replacement finally moved in, and it seems like Carmen is pretty much of the same value. I mean, I don't want to judge a book by its cover... or a bunny by its first impression, but she seems like another silly, fun flaky rabbit. So... yay! (At least it wasn't one of those annoying cutesy ones I can't stand.)
I went to check on Derwin again, and he was feeling better! Yay! I wish my own cold had gone away that quickly. Anyway, he gave me a lattice wall for the medicine I'd given him, but I honestly didn't need a present. Just being happy enough not to try and move would be enough of a gift for me! Not that any of them give any hints of when they're getting bored and wanting to move on, but hopefully this will keep him happy for a time. Because I think Derwin is my current BFF right now... Wonder if he'd agree?
No, it's a charcoal tile that Astrid asked me to deliver to you. Wow. Maybe Carmen should have a chat with Derwin and ask who his optometrist is...
Octavian surprised me by again telling me he was thinking about pulling up stakes and settling down somewhere else. Being that he's my longest-lasting resident at this point and my resident crankypants, I wasn't about to let him get away with that, so I shut that mess down on the quickfast. And after I asked him to stay, he seemed to agree so as not to hurt my feelings, so hopefully he meant it.
And I love when I can leave you with a fun bit of Pascal wisdom to close out the week. Even if this one is kind of lame compared to some of his true gems. I mean, what? Yeah, places have clambakes. You like clambakes, move somewhere that has them. We don't. which must be why he only comes by to visit and drop some truth before heading back out to sea... What a weirdo!

I hope he doesn't move out. I mean, he's an anthropomorphic octopus named Octavian for peet's sake!
