Now You Can Skype On Your Vita

Sony's PlayStation Vita is quite a tremendous piece of hardware, which can do a lot more than just playing games. And now they're adding one more feature. Starting today, you'll be able to make free Skype video chat calls on both the 3G/Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi models.
The Skype app will run in "background mode" so you can pause your game, take a call and then return to your game. You will also be able to make calls to landlines and mobile phones from your Vita for a small fee. Skype-to-Skype video chats are free.
I have Skype on my computer and also my tablet, but I've only ever used it once to video chat with my niece so she could wish me a happy birthday. I've never really gotten into it too much. So while it's cool that they've released Skype for the Vita, I don't know how much I'd really use it. (Especially since most of the time I'd be playing my Vita, I'd be on the subway or bus where I wouldn't have a Wi-Fi signal anyway!)
