Video: Kinect Star Wars Insanity
Okay, the first time I saw this video, it was April 1, and I naturally assumed it was an April Fool's joke. A really elaborate one, but something this insane couldn't be real... could it?
Yeah, turns out it is. In addition to the light saber and force powers adventure section and the podracing, Kinect Star Wars also has a "Galactic Dance-Off". My first reaction was abject horror and also a little bit of shock that somehow there was now something more awful than Jar Jar when it comes to the Star Wars universe. But after watching this video of Han and Lando busting a move to "I'm Han Solo," a parody of Jason Darulo's "Flying Solo" and another one of some stormtroopers grooving to "YMCA" (sing "It's fun to be in the Empire today"), I'm having second thoughts.
Yes, it's absurd, but did you notice the names of the dance moves in the little boxes? The "trash compactor?" The "Chewie hug?" Plus the parody lyrics? Is it just me or does the whole thing becomes so absolutely ridiculous that it somehow spins back around to being somehow awesome again?
Okay, maybe it's just me.
(But come on how hilarious is it to watch Lando getting down? I'm SO buying this when it hits the bargain bins... in about two weeks!)

I'm just...what? I...what? Well, no more absurd than any of the other kinect dancing titles I suppose.
*stares*
The night is dark and full of terrors!
Kill it with fire!
@karrde It's not a dance game though.
I meant the dancing portion of it. But yes, the fact that it has dancing in it does give me nightmares. I really would like a legitimately good SW kinect game. They should seriously put the arcade game out on XBOX live as a downloadable title. Kincect is perfect for that.
It's cute as a novelty, or some special break-it-down interlude of a game for fourth wall silliness.
The dancing itself, though, comes off really stiff and clunky, imo.
Why couldn't Mass Effect 3 have this magnifecent feature!?
