With Metal Gear Solid 3 poking up its 3-dimensional head on Nintendo's handheld, it's difficult for Vita owners not to feel left out. Having sailed upon the Good Ship Sony for many a moon, it seems only logical that Snake - whether in Solid, Liquid, or Naked form - would make an appearance on Sony's brand new whiz-bang.
Thankfully, for you on-the-go types, Konami has indeed announced that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be making its way onto the Vita. Come June 12th, "painfully extensive dialogue" enthusiasts
haters gon' hate can enjoy Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater, rendered in sparking, HD prettiness. The game will also feature touch controls, something that I found particularly appealing on the 3DS. One glaring omission is Peace Walker, which is both a shame, and rather perplexing, given its inclusion in the previous HD collection. Aside from being a highly worthwhile game, one wonders why Peace Walker, a noteworthy part of the PSP library, won't be making an appearance.
So for those who have yet to see the trailer, click the above video for a brief introduction, and feast your eyes on the Snake-ness that is to come for Vita!
