Nintendo Slashes Prices

Nintendo has dropped the prices of two of its popular handhelds. Unfortunately, it's not the 3DS, so don't get too excited. No, they're dropping the Nintendo DSiXL from $169.99 to $129.99 and the DSi from $149.99 to $99.99. (Which only seems fair because the 3DS is $169.99, so to have the DSiXL cost the same is kind of wrong.)
While Nintendo does seem to be putting the lion's share of its effort behind the 3DS, there are still some regular DS games coming out, and they're not all shovelware. Plus, the existing DS library is frighteningly huge, so it's actually a great starter handheld for a kid who won't know that he's playing the last generation system.
