Despite being on my hate list for not living up to my hopes - i.e. featuring "gameplay," rather than 8-10 hours of Stephen Fry's effortlessly charming voicework - LittleBigPlanet has a place in my heart. Its PSP incarnation has stayed in my system longer than any game I own, and despite the occasional sub-par, user created level (this is why the good lord created the ratings system), the idea of endless platforming has found this Grinch's heart growing many times larger. Then, of course, there is Sackboy: sweet, "sunshine and puppy dog kisses" creature of cuddles that he is. Yet burlap alone does not a cute character make; thus, everyone's favorite, anthropomorphic sack-thing feels compelled to make himself your personal fashion atrocity.
For those looking for something vaguely sensible, pre-ordering LittleBigPlanet for Vita will grant you not one, but two sets of costumes for your sack gent. According to the PlayStation blog, the "Knights of Old" pack includes costumes for "a knight, damsel in distress, black knight, or a fearsome dragon." More tantalizing, to yours truly, is the BioShock pack, allowing one's sack creature the chance to dress up as either a Big Daddy or Little Sister.
For Vita owners that lack either the funds or inclination to pre-order LittleBigPlanet, one infers from the PlayStation Blog that the Knights of Old pack (and in all likelihood, its BioShock counterpart), will be available as paid DLC after the game's release, since one of the stated bonuses of the deal is that the "particular colors" of Knights of Old will remain exclusive, even after launch. For those that wish to take advantage of the offer, check out LittleBigPlanet for Vita over at Amazon!
