Video: Heroes Of Ruin Trailer
Any Diablo fans with a 3DS might want to check out this launch trailer for Heroes Of Ruin, because in case it wasn't already looking obvious enough, Square Enix helpfully throws in a quote calling it "a Diablo-like experience." Still, it looks really impressive graphically, and could be a really fun action RPG you can play on the go.
And I appreciate that Squeenix is really using the 3DS's abilities beyond its graphical capabilities. There's going to be four-player co-op you can play online or locally, and there will be daily challenges SpotPassed to your handheld that you can tackle to earn rewards. And I love the idea of an in-game shop that's stocked by StreetPassing people. (Of course, the coolness of that particular shop is contingent on actually being able to StreetPass people regularly... and people who are also playing Heroes Of Ruin!)
Look for Heroes Of Ruin in stores on July 17!

Hrm, I never get streetpass tags or whatever unless I'm in classes... so of course this releases in summer.
I saw this a few days ago and couldn't stop drooling. This game looks stunning. Not exactly the kind of game I'd expect Squeenix to release. Especially since Diablo is such a 'western' game. Have they figured out how to those well yet?
I'm gonna buy this game without hesitation when it comes out. But Judging by how few connections my 3DS has made in the past few weeks, I don't think I'll get to enjoy the StreetPass feature much.
