This was a pretty good week! Well, mostly. I made a new friend, kept another from leaving, and got a present! Woo hoo! The only thing that I didn't like was that I noticed today that we're now in the giant moth season. You know, the ones who cover the entire side of a tree and you don't really see them until you accidentally walk too close to them and they fly off in a flurry of flapping giant wings and the noise scares you half to death? Yeah, them. Hate them.
So I got this letter from my Mom, and she enclosed some bells with it. Five thousand of them, to be specific. That's a lot of dough. Which makes me wonder if she sent me everything she found in the coat, or if she split it. Could she have found ten grand in a pocket? That would be pretty awesome. Although honestly, I'm pretty sure it was my Dad's coat anyway, so there you go...
Poncho's replacement finally moved in. Her name's Merry, and she lives up to her name. She's very cute and perky. I don't hate her on sight, so I guess that's a good thing, right? Ah, we'll just have to wait and see if she gets on my nerves or turns out to be awesome. Oh, and by the way? Yeah, we pretty much do all just walk into each others' houses whenever we get a mind to. So you'd better get used to that!
Curly's tried this crap before, and I wasn't hearing it then, and I wasn't hearing it now. I told him not to go, and he complained that I was beating down his determination to leave, and if I was going to cry about it, he'd stay. Hey, whatever works. You're not going anywhere, dude.
Gabi told me all about how she loves big events, and in the town where she used to live, they would have these scary story events to keep cool in the heat. Not really sure how well this method would work, though. I'd rather leave the AC on... it'll send a chill down your spine!
I was all ready to go over to Octavian's for drinks until he told me it was gonna be like, bubble tea and whatnot. So now I don't know if I wanna bother. Maybe if I've got nothing better to do, I'll swing by. I actually really like bubble tea!
I was very surprised to find Pete outside of my house today, and he had a little package from Nintendo for me! The letter read: "What creepy room would be complete without a creepy coffin? Thankfully, you don't have to worry about that anymore! Enjoy!" And inside was indeed a very creepy coffin! You open it up and there's a skeleton, although it's actually a secret closet where you can store your stuff! Awesome! And it's not even Halloween yet!
