Gaming At Comic Con

Comic Con isn't just about comic books anymore... heck, it's barely even about comic books anymore with all the movies, TV shows and games having taken over. And this year's San Diego Comic Con will be no different with plenty of videogame companies showing off their wares.

Capcom will have special panels including a celebration of Street Fighter's 25th anniversary, a look at Resident Evil 6, previews of the new Lost Planet 3 and DmC Devil May Cry, and "The World of Capcom," which will be all about previewing everything they've got coming up. The Capcom booth will have various giveaways, promos, contests and whatnot as well as playable demos of DmC Devil May Cry, Lost Planet 3, Okami HD, Resident Evil 6, the Vita port of Street Fighter X Tekken, and more.

Over at the Square Enix booth, attendees will be the first to play a demo of the upcoming Tomb Raider. There will also be two special panels devoted to the game. One a special Tomb Raider panel hosted by the adorable Zachary Levi, and another focusing on reimagining Lara Croft. There will also be contests and giveaways, as well as playable demos of Heroes of Ruin, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance], Sleeping Dogs, and Hitman: Absolution to be had.

Meanwhile, Nintendo will be showing off the new 3DS XL as well as various activities at the special Nintendo Gaming Lounge. But if you just want to preview some games, you'll be able to get your hands on a whole bunch of games. For the 3DS, there's New Super Mario Bros. 2, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, Heroes of Ruin, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance], and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. For the regular DS, there's Pokemon Conquest, and for the Wii you can sample Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition and Just Dance 4.

Phew! I'm East Cost-based, so I go to NYCC... hopefully there will be even cooler stuff there this fall so I don't feel left out!

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
