Super Mario Sale!

Nintendo is calling this the Month of Mario, but it's not technically an entire month, it's just the four weeks leading up to the August 19 launch of New Super Mario Bros. 2 on the 3DS. So it's most of August and a wee bit of July. But hey, who's going to nitpick when the whole point of the Month of Mario is to get you excited for his latest adventure by putting some classic ones on sale? Just be aware that each game is only on sale in the Nintendo eShop for a limited time, so if you want it, make sure you're aware of the window of opportunity or else it'll close on your fingers!
July 26 - August 1: Super Mario Bros. for $3.99
August 2 - August 8: Super Mario Land for $2.99
August 9 - August 15: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins for $2.99
August 16 - August 22: Mario's Picross for $2.99
Personally, I'm not the biggest platform fan, so I'm not super-psyched about these offerings aside from Mario's Picross. I'm still wondering how I managed to miss out on this awesome puzzle game when I was playing my old Game Boy!

Just wanted to add, even though Wario is the playable character, Warioland:Mario Land 3 is being released July 26th for $3:99
The 1980s called. They want their graphics back.
Seriously, what is with all the lazy ports? The 3DS store is full of old black and white Gameboy games. Like, the majority. Ugh...
Lazy ports? They're "Virtual Console" releases...so, yeah, that's the entire point of them being there. They are in addition to the current e-shop stuff. It's the same with the Wii Virtual Console. What, they're supposed to just put all the old games in a vault and throw away the key?
In my opinion, there aren't ENOUGH of the old games on the system...they're too slow about it. If you don't want them, don't buy them...
It's not the same with the Wii Virtual Console. The Wii Virtual Console has NES, SNES, N64, Sega, and more. The 3DS store had the 10 NES games for ambassadors and that's it. The rest are mostly the old black and white Gameboy games. No SMB2 or 3, no SMBW, etc. How many 3D converted games are there? SIX. How many of those six are games that people really wanted to play? Zero.
There's no good excuse for any of that. All of the original Mario games should be available to buy at launch. You go to the Mario section of the store and like 90% of the games are black and white fuzzy Gameboy graphics or stuff like "Mario Clock!". I don't want a Mario Clock on my 3DS. I want some games, actual gamer games.
What were the big releases recently? "Sonic Blast" and "Sonic Drift 2" from Game Gear....? What the hell? Have you SEEN those games? Jesus.
NES games that should be available to buy: SMB2, SMB3, SMW, TMNT series, Duck Tales, Maniac Mansion, Legacy of the Wizard, Little Nemo, Ghosts N' Goblins, Marble Madness, Tiny Toon Adventures, Final Fantasy, Mother, Crystalis, NOES, etc...
BTW, typo. lol SMW shouldn't be in there, I had a bigger list that had SNES games and forgot to take that one out.
I grew up on Super Mario Land. One of best (yes, I know is waaay to simple and short) games I've ever played. I don't mind dishing out few bucks for this game. Game Boy nostalgia...
