My regular life was on a pretty even keel this week, but in Narnia, there were a lot of ups and downs. I don't know which end is up anymore!
Well, you'd think so, right? But unfortunately, my luck wasn't exactly what you'd call "good" all week.
I continued to talk to Teddy every single time I saw him, and when I ran into him outside of Tom Nook's, he was just making small talk about food and passing out. The usual nonsense. So with the "lucky" four-leaf clover and the normal conversation, you'd think that Teddy's plans to move had been back burnered, right?
I swung by his house the very next day, and lo and behold, he'd finally packed up his stuff. Dangit! And he wouldn't even give me the chance to even try and talk him out of it. All he did was flex for me, which is nice and all, but I'm not really into bears. Okay, well, maybe sometimes... but I'm getting off the point here, which is that Teddy was moving and there was nothing I could do about it! And what's worse is that not only did he tease me by pretending like he wasn't actually going to leave for days, he didn't even leave the day after he packed, either! Rude!
In the middle of all the frustrating drama, I got a lovely package from Nintendo. Well, I say lovely, but it was actually quite creepy. The message read: "Gaze into the creepy crystal and a vision emerges... of a frighteningly stylish house!" It's an awesome crystal ball that when you touch it, a spooky face appears! So cool! I really have to get off my butt and redecorate for Halloween now, because if they keep sending stuff like this, October 31st is going to be beyond fantastic, and I want to be ready for it!
But after that fun day, I had a sad day when I found a letter from Teddy in my mailbox. I don't know why it took him so long to get his stuff packed up (he didn't have that much), and why it took so long for him to actually leave, but now he's gone, and I'm more annoyed than sad, really. I mean, he was barely around long enough to find out if there was 'tude in this village. And there's plenty of it. Just hang around Octavian, and you'll get all the 'tude you'll need!
Nothing like a little Pascal wisdom to take your mind off things.
And today Teddy's replacement arrived in Narnia! I think she might actually be kind of awesome. Still early days yet, but it looks good! Her name is Kiki... so the jokes pretty much write themselves, don't they? Which is good, because I'm feeling lazy! Make 'em up yourself!
