Above you will find the opening cinematic for the new Kinect game Dance Central 3, due out October 16. And it looks just as over-the-top ridiculous as I would have hoped. I especially love the '70s looks. Harmonix has released some story details, although honestly does anyone pay attention to the storyline in Dance Central games?
You'll go back in time to the '70s, '80s, '90s and '00s to learn iconic dance routines that you will use against the nefarious Dr. Tan before he destroys dance forever. So just your average day, really. At least surfer cutie Bodie is still around, as Harmonix says that he and Emilia from the Riptide Crew have been drafted by Dance Central Intelligence (no, really) to travel back to the 2000s where they have been secretly studying the moves of that decade while finding fame on the hit TV series Dance Central Live. (You can see a bit of that in the intro video)
But like I said, nobody really plays Dance Central for the story. You just want to know about the songs. And Harmonix unveiled another handful of the over 40 tracks to be included on the disc. There's already been a lot of '70s announced, so this list is a bit more recent than I'd like. I'm still waiting for more '80s tracks. I don't feel like there are enough of those...
