Ni No Kuni Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

I'm still debating whether or not to pre-order a copy of the Collector's Edition of the upcoming LEVEL-5/Studio Ghibli PlayStation 3 RPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. I was trying to justify it by saying that it's only $40 more than the regular $59.99 price, but then I looked at the numbers again and realized that it's nearly twice the regular price, and that kind of killed it for me.
But if you're not swimming in coins like Scrooge McDuck (or Mario) and are planning on just picking up the regular edition when it streets on January 22, 2013, you can still get a little something extra for pre-ordering at participating retailers.
Right now, if you pre-order at GameStop, you can reserve an exclusive SteelBook case with alternative atwork (available while supplies last, so don't wait too long to pick up your pre-order!). And if you pre-order at Amazon.com, you'll get an exclusive griffy familiar (seen in the screenshots below), not in the Japanese version of the game. The griffy can spot prey from far away and has some powerful attacks. Also, it evolves into griffurnace or the griffrigerator, which is just kind of awesome as far as names go.
While part of me knows that it's always good to have in-game bonuses, the other part of me prefers to have tangible swag I can hold in my hand, like a SteelBook case. But then there's that little voice in the back of my head pushing me to just drop the extra duckets and get the Collector's Edition with the spellbook... Aargh!

This game IS going to have a Japanese voice option, right? Because that's a dealbreaker for me...
Never been too big a fan of steelbook cases. Allthough the art is very nice.
I'm hoping they'll carry over the griffy familiar to Amazon.co.uk pre-orders as well as it looks great.
Sadly I've noticed Amazon doesn't always have pre-order bonuses on the same item on all their countries' sites.
Yes, it has been confirmed by LEVEL-5 that the American release will have both English and Japanese language tracks. (YAY!)
I tried to rationalize the collector's edition, as well, but couldn't. I pre-ordered from amazon instead. This game looks amazing, and I just realized after the comments here I had just -assumed- it would have a Japanese voice-track, glad to hear that confirmed.
