Pokédex 3D Goes Pro In November

The Pokédex 3D was a free app available through the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS, but the new Pokédex 3D Pro is a whole new animal, and while there's still no pricing information for it, Nintendo has revealed that the app will be available on November 8.

The upgraded and enhanced Pokédex 3D Pro will contain details for over 640 Pokémon covering the entire series. In the Pokémon Challenge, you can test your knowledge of the creatures in a series of quizzes. Unfortunately, according to Nintendo, "to ensure that players have access to the Pokédex that will aid them the most while playing Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2," the original Pokédex 3D will be dropped from the eShop after October 1.

The other tie-in app, Pokémon Dream Radar, will be in the eShop on October 7. This is the one where you use augmented-reality to aim your 3DS and shoot Dream Clouds to catch special rare Pokémon and items that you can then transfer into Pokémon Black and White Version 2. Oddly, Dream Radar is in 2D. Huh.
