Well, it was quite an eventful week in Narnia. I had some fun, some confusion, some sadness, and then some joy. That last one is because my new BFF has just moved into town. He doesn't know it yet, but he is...
As I had expected, since I wasn't able to find Puck an angelfish for a couple days, he eventually got over his obsession. I also thought that maybe because he'd gotten focused on a pet fish he'd decided not to move as he'd threatened to last week. Spoiler alert, I was wrong.
Heck, Puck even played hide and seek with me when Curly wanted to get a game going. How is he supposed to find time to pack up to move if he's playing games, right? Right?
Annoyingly, this was one of the very, very few times that I couldn't find all three of them in the time limit. Poop. But I usually do win. I think I've lost like, three times in three years. I swear!
When Kiki asked me to come up with a new greeting she could use on people, it wasn't hard to come up with something. Sometimes they pretty much write themselves...
I was surprised to find the Mayor hanging around outside, and then he reminded me about the summer fireworks. I made a mental note to come back later that evening to check them out and take some photos... but I guess it got mentally erased at some point during the day... Oh well!
Kiki made me nervous with this little conversation, but it turns out she was just being maudlin or something. She wasn't planning to move. Although I thought that she could very easily decide to go, since I'd thought that Puck had changed his mind and was staying. SPOILER ALERT!
So yeah, Puck moved. I had no idea this was coming. Well, I guess I probably knew deep down inside that he hadn't changed his mind. But when he didn't talk about it, didn't pack up his house, and played games and asked for pet fish... well, you can understand where I got the wrong idea. It's too bad. I liked little Puck and his safety helmet.
But it's fine, because just a couple days later, his replacement showed up, and OH. MY. GOD. I'm in love! Come on...
a) he's a monkey
b) he wears a super hero mask
Simon is clearly the most awesome resident that Narnia has ever seen, and I am going to make sure that I do everything in my power to keep him from ever leaving town. I will talk to him every day, I will visit him at home, I will send him presents... actually, maybe that might be a bit much. Don't want to drive him away! But come on -- Simon is clearly fabulous.
