Nintendo uploaded a new "Iwata Asks" to its website, where Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata conducts a roundtable discussion about various topics. This time, he talks to four men who were responsible for the creation of the upcoming Wii U console.
While some of the discussion gets a little technical and over my head, there are helpful glossary terms sprinkled throughout so you can get a basic idea of what they're talking about. Of course, when they get all excited about heat sinks and how best to develop a fan, I have to admit I don't quite get the enthusiasm!
But it's kind of a fascinating look into how a console is developed, from concepts to creating the chips and hardware and then designing an attractive case for it all. There are a lot of people working on a lot of pieces so you can play the newest Mario game in HD! You can read the entire interview here, and then come back soon for the "Iwata Asks" about the GamePad!
