Ohio State Halftime Show Brings Some Video Game Goodness

As I've probably mentioned, I don't particularly care about football - at least, that's the short version. The long version is that your humble and obedient servant's apathy toward football is so vast, and so all-consumingly intense, that it delves into the realm of "negative caring" (shut up David Mitchell, it is too a concept), reducing the capacity for f*ck-giving of all football fans withing a two hundred-foot radius - leading to a domino effect that will find the sport wholly forgotten by the year 2035.

That being said, I have a strange affinity for marching bands, and as one might expect, a noted fondness for video games; and when the twain meet - two star-crossed souls canoodling beneath the majesty of the night sky - it's most lovely indeed.

Such is the case of Ohio State, whose marching band paid homage to the world of video games during a recent halftime show. Featuring selections from Halo, Zelda, and others, as well as some rather impressive choreography (s*ck it, North Korea), your humble and obedient servant can color himself impressed at the effort of the kids over at Ohio state marching band. So enjoy nine or so minutes of nostalgia with the above video!

Seriously? NK has one of the most oppressive governments in the world, their residents have been subject to famine, and brutal violence, and they have concentration camps where kids rat out their parents to survive. And you're comparing the well-rehearsed extracurricular activities of free-willed college students to well-rehearsed most-likely-forced-labour North Koreans? I think you were aiming for humour but I'm not sure you hit the target.

He *was* aiming for humour, Captain Touchy. If you can't laugh at the awfullest things in the world, what's the point of laughing at all?

Black humour exists for a reason, you know.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
