Bundle Up, Vita, It's Cold Outside!

sonyvitabundles.jpg

I went shopping on Black Friday once, and it was such a complete nightmarish hellscape I would never even consider doing it again. There's nothing out there that I want badly enough to risk my life to get it that cheap. Which is why online Black Friday deals are so much better. You can take advantage of the discounts, and you don't even have to put on pants!

Sony is offering three PlayStation Vita bundles for just $199 each. There's one for Assassin's Creed II: Liberation, one for Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified, and one for LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. All three bundles include a Wi-Fi PS Vita (while for ACIII: Liberation, black for the other two), the specific game, and a 4GB memory card (except for the LEGO Batman 2 bundle — there's no included memory card with that one for some reason...). That's a fine deal, and I've been intrigued by AC III: Liberation. But is it enough to get me to drop a couple hundred on a Vita at long last? I'm not sure. The library isn't compelling enough for me yet. But hey, that's just me. This may be just the deal you were waiting for. You can click here to find the links to each of the bundles in the Sony online store.

They're also offering a PlayStation 3 deal, also at $199. For that money, you get a 250GB PS3 system, a 30 day PlayStation Plus trial, Uncharted Dual Pack and inFAMOUS collection.

In the fine print, it does say to check local retailers for pricing an availability, but why venture out into a store full of crazed bargain hunters when you can just buy it online?

Seriously Wootini, the library isn't good enough? The only genre it's really lacking is jrpg and that will be fixed next week on the 20 th. the vita got no games line is old, played and incorrect.

Sorry, but every time I look at the shelf of games in the store, there's nothing there that inspires me to whip out a couple hundred bucks for the system. Katamari and Lumines are just more of something I can already play on my PSP, and Uncharted is the only new one that interests me. I've no doubt that eventually Sony will release enough games for the Vita that I will get the system, but that day isn't here yet. For me, anyway.

There are quite a few titles that are psn only like dokuro and little kings story, ( if you are a pikmin fan that game is a must!) and now with playstation plus next week, the offerings are quite good in my opinion. For a 1 year subscription ( the cost of uncharted golden abyss by itself ) you get gravity rush ( the reason i bought a vita ) uncharted, mutant blobs attack, wipeout 2048, and ff tactics psp. Way better than what the 3ds was this early in its life cycle.

Yeah, the PlayStation Plus thing is actually pretty enticing. I just don't know how I feel about buying a new system to play old games. Playing a classic on a current system is fun occasionally, but I don't know if it's a "system seller", at least for me...

I'm with Wootini here. It's not that the Vita has no games, it's just that there aren't that many that appeal to me specifically. So, I can't justify spending the money on it.
