Who Are The Toadies?

Usually, I've at least heard of the band behind the Rock Band DLC even if I'm not a particularly big fan of theirs, but this time Harmonix has stumped me. Apparently, there's a band called Toadies, and they have a platiunum-selling album with a #4 (on the Modern Rock chart, anyway) single. Huh. Go figure!
Anyway, the Toadies Pack 01 has been released today, and includes "Possum Kingdom," "Away," and "Tyler," so if you're a big fan, they're yours to download! (For the usual $1.99 each or $5.49 for the pack) Oh, and there's no keyboards in any of their songs, and only "Possum Kingdom" (The Modern Rock Chart topper) has the optional Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades.
Me, I'll be waiting for next week!

Yeah I remember when Possum Kingdom was pretty big in the mid 90's It was one of those songs that my mood determined if I liked it at the time or not. Sometimes I liked it a lot & sometimes (could even be the same day) I absolutely hated it.
I can only remember the main riff to that song, which is one of those "know it when you hear it" ones. The only reason I can in any way associate it with The Toadies is that my wife was, for whatever reason, a HUGE Toadies fan back in the nineties.
DUN DUN chikachika DUN DUN chikachika DUN DUN chikachika DADAAAAAAA DUN DUN (repeat)
That is the song we're talking about, right?
Used to hear "Possum Kingdom" on the radio all the time back then without ever knowing the name of either the song or the band. I had the exact same reaction to this week's choice, but had an "Oooohhh, THAT song!" moment when I heard it.
I liked the Toadies. Southern Rock's red-headed step-child of "alternative" descent.
