Wootini’s Weekly Video Podcast #107 2

podcast107Obviously, I’m still playing Ni No Kuni. If it was legal to marry a videogame (and if I wasn’t already hitched), I would be on my honeymoon. I want to have its babies.

Seriously, though, it’s wonderful. And I address a reader’s question about the battle system. This leads into a digression about the PS3 that turns into a confession about wanting to maybe buy a Vita possibly. I know this one’s a bit on the long side, but I got a little sidetracked!

(Writer) I love Animal Crossing, music games (even though I can’t sing or play instruments) and adventure games. And the occasional 40+ hr JRPG when I can find the time! I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband, Frank.

Wootini, the Wizard’s Edition was supposed to be my birthday present and it was released on the same day as my birthday. It was pre-ordered back in August and they cancelled it twice on me even after calling and re-ordering after the initial fuck-up.

I have been promoting the game since it’s Japanese release and I was burned bad by the enormous bullshit, and people ended up getting it who never pre-ordered in the first place through that backdoor link and just placing a random call. I still have yet to play the game and I don’t even want to pay full price for the standard edition.

Digital River really screwed the pooch with the Wizard’s Edition pre-orders, but please don’t let that turn you off the game entirely. It is an absolutely wonderful RPG, and I’d hate to see them make you so bitter that you miss out on it!
