This week I start off with a brief discussion of the EA Full Spectrum Event (although you probably should have already read my full report on it) before segueing into talk of the games I recently picked up on sale even though I don’t actually have any time to play them since I’m still trying desperately to finish Ni No Kuni (aided by my free strategy guide sent by Namco Bandai as an apology for screwing up my order). Although Journey is so short I actually was able to play through it once, so there’s that! Watch me yammer on after the jump!

About Chris Eades

(Writer) I love Animal Crossing, music games (even though I can't sing or play instruments) and adventure games. And the occasional 40+ hr JRPG when I can find the time! I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband and our hamster, Ch'p.

Sigh. So jealous of the amount of fun you are having playing Ni No Kuni.

Meh to El Shaddai. It’s… confusing and sorta pretty. But the story is absolutely baffling – there’s a character that simultaneously exists in the present and the future who is always talking on his phone as you make your way up a tower of strange and repetitive levels. Interesting art but I didn’t love it.

AND BE CAREFUL WITH THE FINAL BOSS. Good lord that was hard, but mostly because of the pretty terrible battle system and the idiotic AI (they will die. A lot.). Good luck!
