Phoenix Wright Will Be A Cheap Date

Over on its Capcom Unity blog, Capcom has revealed that the upcoming 3DS sequel Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies will actually be a little cheaper, coming in at $29.99 when it launches this fall. That’s because it’s going to be a digital purchase only via the Nintendo eShop. I appreciate Capcom passing on the savings to gamers. Yeah, it might be nice to have the little box to put on the shelf next to all your other Phoenix Wright games, but I’m willing to give that up for a $10 price drop! (In my opinion, more digital releases should be priced this way.)

Any of you attending PAX Prime 2013 this weekend (not me, I can only do PAX East), are lucky, because you’ll actually be able to get your hands on Dual Destinies at the Capcom booth. (Jealous!) And while I was initially even more jealous that there would be a photo-op with Phoenix Wright himself, the photo on the blog would lead me to believe that it’s just with a cardboard cutout of the attorney, not an actual hunky actor in costume. (And if they do have an actual actor, please don’t tell me because I think I might die a little inside!)

  1. I was at PAX and got to play this and it was pretty awesome! There was no cutout or actor playing Phoenix though :( They just had a backdrop and a stand where you could pose. I was going to do it, but I got engrossed in the game demo and forgot. Womp-womp. They also handed out little lanyards.
