This week I endured a terrible trauma. Oh, it could have been much, much worse, but it was still painful. I’ll get over it, but… woo! It was rough! I’ll explain everything after the jump!
So Redd finally makes one of his super-rare special appearances in town, and the only thing that looked real was the Amazing Painting… and yeah, turns out it wasn’t. At all. Dangit! Redd never shows up, so to have wasted one of my chances to stock the museum really burns my britches! (I hung it up in my classy room, because if I have guests over, I’m sure they’ll never notice the difference…)
You know how last week I was surprised and kind of happy to see Frita hanging out in the shopping district? Well, it turns out the chick must not have anywhere else to be, because she was lingering there all week. Seriously. Sometimes in T&T Emporium, sometimes in The Able Sisters, and sometimes just hanging out on the street! Doesn’t she have a home? I don’t care where you go, Frita, but you can’t stay here!
I got bored with my genie look and decided to swap out for this all acid-washed denim look with jacket and jeans, accessorized with some white sneakers and this funky wig I got from Gracie as well. It’s meant for girls, but obviously I’m rocking the hell out of it.
As promised, Hopper moved into Geneva, and I have every intention of keeping an eye on him so he doesn’t move away three days after moving in. I absolutely hate when they do that! So rude!
I was taken aback when Drake told me he wanted to move away. I haven’t gotten his picture yet, and I actually like him a lot, so I wasn’t about to lose him. And every time I try to tell them not to go, I hold my breath for their response, fearful that this will be the time when someone finally says: “Sorry, still moving! Bye!” Thankfully, this was not that time, and Drake agreed to stick around. Also, you’ll notice that I got my hair did. The style didn’t matter because I’m wearing a wig, but I wanted the darker color so the stripes pop more. Yes, I put that much thought into it…
I can’t get Redd to come by more often than once a month or so, but Gulliver pops in a lot more frequently. Ran into him on the beach and he described windmills and tulips, so he was very clearly heading for the Netherlands. I like it when they’re easy.
You wouldn’t believe my excitement when I was just wandering around watering flowers and picking weeds one morning and I ran into Jack! There’s still a month to go before Halloween, but he was out looking for help for the big day. He gave me a mummy mask, which was awesome, because I’d already collected the pants and shirt, and wanted to dress as a mummy for Halloween anyway. And I was wondering where I’d ever get a mask! So in the days leading up to Halloween, I have to collect scary outfits and candy. After he gave me some vague instructions, he disappeared in a puff of smoke, so I hope he comes back before October 31 to tell me exactly how I’m supposed to go around scaring everyone with goofy costumes!
Oh, and not only does the Able Sisters sell a different mask every day so far in October, the Emporium has started selling some spooky furniture. So much for my sweets set! I simply have to have the entire spooky set before Halloween! (I’ll take a picture once I get more pieces and it looks better)
This was my souvenir from Gulliver’s latest trip, displayed proudly in the museum room with the others. His letter read: “Thanks to you, I was able to make my way here to the Netherlands! I’m sending you a little figurine of a windmill! I hope you can imagine the wind blowing through it! From the wandering Gulliver” And inside was this lovely Kinderdijk Windmill. Cute!
You could have knocked me over with a feather when I entered the tent that had been set up one day and found one of my best friends from my last town, Simon, camping there! I wanted to tell him he doesn’t have to bottle the air in Geneva and bring it home if Geneva was his home.
Sadly, I didn’t have an empty slot in my town for him to move into! Aaugh!
On the plus side, it could have been a lot worse. It could have been Pippy camping there. If I ever have the opportunity to convince Pippy to move to Geneva, and I blow it, I think I’ll just curl up in a fetal position and cry myself to sleep.
Gabi requested a zen bench, so I quickly set up that project, and actually just funded it myself because it wasn’t particularly expensive, and I happened to be super flush with bells at the time. I thought it would make a lovely addition to my entire zen garden section of town, but it kind of just looks like a low table covered in a red sheet. Oh well!
