As promised, this week I talk about the launches of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and which next-gen console is looking the most appealing to me when I’ve got $500 burning a hole in my pocket. But first I’ve got a little rant about the new YouTube app for the 3DS to get off my chest. Make the jump for the whole vidcast!

About Chris Eades

(Writer) I love Animal Crossing, music games (even though I can't sing or play instruments) and adventure games. And the occasional 40+ hr JRPG when I can find the time! I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband and our hamster, Ch'p.

Re: system reliability – I don’t think any of the big 3 companies is particularly ahead of each other. I have a launch 3DS, and I did have to send it for service once. Having said that, it wasn’t right away, but it was within the first year (hence still under warranty). I think Microsoft historically has been slightly more problematic, but they’re also newest to consoles, so… *shrug*

For me, as well, the software just isn’t there for this generation yet. PC for now!

Like you, I’m waiting on getting a new console. I still have several Piles of Shame for both my 360 and PS3 to wade through, not to mention a shelf full of DS games. (Infinite Space, I’m coming for you!)

    Cool SHIELD shirt, sir.
