The style blogs are still buzzing with tidbits of Fashion Week news. Awards and recognition go out to pop starlets like Rihanna decked out in “Chanel, Lanvin, Christian Dior, Comme des Garçons, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy and Stella McCartney.” And yet, what is the last word on Spring style for gamers?
Stash away your graphic tees! Stow away your Adventure Time hoodies! Your Tokidoki tattoos need not apply. Spring 2014 belongs to Swarovksi Elements Crystals. All the runway models in Paris and Milan must bow to the triumphant UK homecoming of Jotaro Kujo of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
Jotaro lights up the fight in his trademark schoolboy chic which is bedazzled and modified beyond the sore eyes of Anna Wintour. And what is a (Joe)star without his Stan(d)? Star Platinum joins in the stunning affair demonstrating his super strength and super dress sense. Stars of Manga, Anime, and Video Games, the pair are set to go in 6000 Swarovski crystals as part of an “Ultra Limited Exquisite Edition” of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
The Namco Bandai fighter, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, is produced by CyberConnect2 for the PlayStation 3. Out since August in Japan, the title receives an international release at the end of April. Players can choose from characters from the eight story arcs of Hirohiko Araki’s manga, which follows the numerous generations of the Joestar family. Each playable character uses one of six styles, Jotaro’s style Stand allows him to summon Star Platinum and launch additional attacks. Regardless of style choice, the fighter promises players a spectacle with an over-the-top stylish presentation respective of the manga. Offline modes include Campaign and Arcade, while players can also battle it out online.
Like any civic-minded celeb, Jotaro’s passion for fashion comes in the name of a worthy charity. GamesAid, a UK Games Industry Charity, lists Namco Bandai’s one of a kind “Exquisite Edition” of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle on the charity’s eBay storefront. As a donation, 100% of the proceeds will go to GamesAid to divide between “a small group of British based youth and children’s charities.” One such charity featured on the eBay listing, SpecialEffect, assists people with disabilities by using video game technology to improve their quality of life.
The entire package is worth €2000 and includes the full PS3 game of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, special packaging, and the sparkling Jotaro and Star Platinum. Ending on April 5, the eBay auction currently stands at £262.00 with 24 bids. Our UK readers luck out on this charitable premium as the package posts to the United Kingdom. According to Crunchyroll, a US edition of this package has yet to be announced. Here’s hoping for a British Sugar Daddy with a heart of gold and Swarovski crystals.
