This weekend's Modern Warfare 2 offensive viral video fracas has gone way past just GayGamer. Many other sites have come out to express their dissatisfaction with the video which used a "hidden" gay slur in it's messaging. The video has since been pulled but it left a lot of people wondering how it got produced and approved in the first place.
G4's Adam Sessler has joined the fight with his latest "Sessler's Soapbox." Adam has been a long time friend of GayGamer and has always been outspoken when it comes to issues of gay rights and hate speech. This time is no exception and once again he comes out with both guns blazing.

Kratos is getting the royal treatment by Sony with the announcement of the God of War III Ultimate Edition. The action packed package will contain a copy of the game, limited-edition art book, loads of extra digital content, a full length documentary entitled God of War: Unearthing the Legend, and the God of War trilogy soundtrack. The whole thing will come packaged in a replica of Pandora's Box and will retail for $99.99.
Additionally, players will have access to the God of War Combat Arena which is essentially a challenge zone featuring seven challenges and Dominus (a Kratos skin) which will be available via the PSN.
God of War II and the Ultimate Edition are now available for pre-order and doing so will net you access to the E3 demo as well as exclusive Kratos skins which vary depending on the outlet.

Posters for the new Prince of Persia movie starring hunk-o-matic Jake Gyllenhaal are already popping up in theaters around the country. Earlier this week, press was invited to check out a trailer of the upcoming film. Unfortunatley, due to a scheduling conflict, I was unable to attend personally, but as a consolation prize, I can share with you these shots of the dashing Jake, his co-stars Ben Kingsley and Gemma Arterton and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Seeing as Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner had a hand in the script, one can but hope the film will have a modicum of the original story still left in it. Much will be revealed when the trailer premiers to the public on November 4. Be sure to keep your eyes her on GayGamer that day as we'll be posting it as soon as it's available.
Ever since the most recent Xbox 360 Update, one of the most underused new features has been the Avatar Awards. Avatar Awards are little doo-dads and costumes which can be picked up for your avatar by accomplishing certain in game achievements. Currently, there are only a few games which support the feature and now a heavy hitter is joining the fray.
Left 4 Dead 2 will have nine avatar awards of which six are currently known:
What will the remaining three be? Only time will tell, but personally I'll be gunning for those sweet Depeche Mode t-shirts. Cuh-lass!

This is a terrific opportunity to fill in some of the gaps in your game collection or to grab that game you've been longing for for a while. It's been a while since we had a good old fashioned haiku contest and since I have a copy of Borderlands for the Xbox 360 in my hot little hands, I thought it was time for another.
Here are the rules: create an original haiku using Borderlands as the theme and post it in the comments section of this article. The winner will be announced at this same time tomorrow. Haiku are relatively simple to write but in case you are not familiar with them, I shall elucidate. They consist of three lines with a 5-7-5 syllable count as so:
Borderlands is sweet, Space western in the desert All weapons are mine
Clearly this example is absolutely terrible so it shouldn't be too hard to come up with something really good. Now you have 24 hours to get your haiku in so get those creative juices flowing!
