We already informed you of the Skip Ender’s Game campaign from the handsome fellows over at Geeks Out, and mentioned that they would be holding some special Skip Ender’s Game events on Novemeber 1, the Friday that the movie will open in theaters across the country. The movement to boycott the movie in protest of the anti-gay activism of Orson Scott Card may be slightly controversial, but if you are one of the many who are choosing to Skip Ender’s Game, now instead of just staying home instead of going to the movies, you can attend a bitchin’ party (and contribute to some worthy causes)!
Chicago: At Spin Nightclub at 800 W. Belmont, from 7PM-12AM, there will be dancing, drink specials, big-screen gaming and a screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Dallas: At The Texas Theatre at 231 W. Jefferson Blvd, doors open at 7:30 with a screening of The Fifth Element at 9PM with proceeds benefitting The Resource Center Dallas’s new GLBT Youth Program.

Seattle: At the Gay City-Calamus Auditorium at 517 E. Pike St, from 7-10, watch a screening of The Gamers: Hands of Fate, with proceeds benefitting Seattle’s Gay City Health Project.
San Francisco: At The Lone Star Saloon at 1354 Harrison St., from 8-11:30, enjoy tunes from DJ Badger and Jimmy Swear and a video tribute to the fabulously out George Takei’s Hikaru Sulu. (Co-hosted by FANBOYSF)
You can visit SkipEndersGame.com to find out more about the campaign and visit the Geeks OUT website for more information on the events. They’re promising to add more cities as the date nears, so definitely keep an eye on that link if you’re not in any of the above areas. And I’ll see you New York-area gay gamers at Bar-Tini!
