Video: Wootini's Video Podcast #99

Well, we're coming up on a major milestone for this video podcast of mine, and I'm asking you all for help in doing something a little different for #100. Because otherwise, it's just going to be the same as usual, like this week, where I talk about chatting on the Wii U, pay-to-play karaoke on the Xbox 360, and more!

Video: Wootini's Video Podcast #97

Well, it's a surprisingly normal-length vidcast this week, considering how much I did! First, I attended the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in NYC, and then I saw a screening of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost. One of which I talk about at length, and the other I just give a brief opinion and save the rest for a proper article to be posted on this site at a later date. Oh, and I also had time to play games! And even finish one, too! Score!

Video: Wootini's Video Podcast #96

This week's vidcast isn't as long as last week's but it's still a bit longer than usual as I have quite a bit to talk about. Some impressions of Paper Mario: Sticker Star kick things off, since traveling to the parental units for Thanksgiving meant only portable gaming for a few days. But I have explored more of the Wii U, and have some more things to say about it, and both Nintendo Land and Zombi U. Join me, won't you?

Video: Wootini's Video Podcast #95

Slightly longer than usual vidcast this week, but there's a good reason. Between attending the launch event for the Wii U at the Nintendo World Store (enjoy the nightmares when you see the giant-sized Miis!) and picking up one for myself (at Toys R Us of all places — long story), I had a lot to cover! And I still didn't cover everything, since these are just my first impressions of Nintendo's new console! There's more to come!

Video: Wootini's Video Podcast #94

There's a little bit of time warping in this week's podcast, because at the time I taped it, I hadn't yet finished Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. But as you can see on the site, I've finished the game and posted my review just before this video. Oh well! So confusing! I also talk about the Wii U launch and a little bit about shirtless Daniel Craig, gay James Bond and adorable Q, if you're interested! It's a short one this week, so why not watch?

PopMatters' Moving Pixels Podcast

PopMatters Logo

Back in May I was approached by Kris Ligman from PopMatters' multimedia section, which is the portion of the site dedicated to games (supposedly other media, but I have only ever noticed games), to appear on their podcast about inclusivity. After a bit of planning, our very own FaePuck joined me, as did Alexandra Raymond from The Border House (who was on the same panel with TinyDancer at this year's PAX East). The final cast was us three along with Ligman hosting, and Moving Pixels regulars Nick Dinicola and G. Christopher Williams.

The topic was generally about inclusivity, and that included topics of sexuality, race, sex, gender presentation, and all such like things. We broached topics like representation, larger studios versus indie and who can do what, communities, why sites like ours and The Border House exist, et cetera.

One of the questions towards the end is coming up with developers we thought were making interesting cases for inclusivity in their games, and both Alex Raymond and I realized after that we forgot to give a mention to Choice of Games (who haven't released anything new in a while...). Of course, if you have further suggestions, I would love to hear them.

To listen to the podcast, you can either go to their site and download it directly, or I've embedded the file below so you can listen right from the comfort of this browser tab.

Many thanks to the Moving Pixels staff for inviting us, and to my fellow guests, FaePuck and Alexandra Raymond.

Video: Wootini's Video Podcast #9

This week's installment starts off with some good results tempered with some mild complaining about Your Shape Fitness Evolved's motion tracking. Then moves on to some more talk about Rock Band 3. Maybe there's not as many people playing online to join up with, but that doesn't stop you from playing with yourself — if you know what I mean! (And no, I don't mean that!)

We're Baaack: GayGamer.net Podcast #55!

gaygamerpodcastlogo.jpg

Hi everyone! I'm Drand and I'm going to be helping out around here. I'll be fixin' up corners of the GayGamer Castle, putting fresh straw in FruteBrute's Brutorium, and helping out my husbear, TinyDancer, with his evil experiments down in the laboratory.

But first and foremost, it's my pleasure to bring the triumphant return of the GayGamer.net podcast!

Please enjoy it! There are many more to come thanks to the pretty pink shotgun I have pointed at Tiny's head. Be sure to check back often for lots of little improvements and one major overhaul.
